Growing In Faith

The Grace School Christian Studies Program is organized around key Bible Stories and studies that help children discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them.

In Primary School:

  • Children learn about God’s love by actively participate in Chapel weekly
  • Students learn new memory verse monthly.
  • Students listen to Bible stories, sing songs of praise and say prayers of thankfulness throughout the day.
  • Primary School embraces the song, “Jesus Loves Us” and reciprocates that awesome love to our family and friends.

The Lower School Christian Studies Program, is designed to shape identity, through planting truths in the heart of every child. These three basic truths are:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others, the way I want to be treated.

Growing in faith takes time and effort. Christian Studies highlights four faith skills to help children grow in their relationship with God and reflect how they talk about their faith.

  • Hear: Listen to God’s words. When we read the bible, and listen to what God has to tell us through His word, we learn we can trust God no matter what.
  • Pray: Dialogue with God. Through prayer we connect with God. We show gratitude, say we’re sorry, and express our feelings to God.
  • Talk: Articulate your faith. When we talk about our faith, we learn more about God and can tell others about Jesus.
  • Live: Worship with your life. Worshipping God is more than just singing songs. Worship is about living life in a way that honors God.

Middle School Bible Classes

Bible: The Kingdom of God – students will discover the Kingdom of God by examining the Bible as one unfolding story of redemption. It provides an aerial view of God’s word and work, and it is designed to help students understand Scripture and the principles behind it. Through a “big picture” study of God as the ruler of all Heaven and earth, students will unfold God’s salvation plan for all mankind.

Bible: The Kingdom of Man – students will understand the basic tools to “jump-start” their journey of spiritual growth. They will examine how Man responds to the principles and precepts of God’s sovereign rule over their lives and hearts. Through an in-depth analysis of how biblical man responds to God, students will develop an understanding of how Jesus became the living example of God’s principles for the early church and the modern-day believer.

Young Women of Integrity Class – students will discover the value of integrity from a biblical perspective by examining the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman. Students will analyze 10 different values that can be demonstrated through our various choices in everyday life. Students will gain a perspective analyzing the behaviors and attitudes of Jesus Christ, along with exploring some female biblical characters that exhibited integrity in their lives and the far-reaching impact it had on the legacy it left. The course study will emphasize projects to aid students in developing godly standards and personal convictions with the goal of reflecting moral excellence and living honorable Christian lives.
