In honor of Giving Tuesday, November 30, Grace School is encouraging friends and families to join us in a social movement designed to inspire gifts to the Annual Fund. Giving Tuesday is a movement started in recent years as a response to the Thanksgiving shopping phenomenon (Black Friday, Cyber Monday).
Our “Share Your #Unselfie” Giving Tuesday – Annual Fund campaign will help us show how our community leads with generosity. Join us as we make strides on social media to bring new meaning to selfies – or “unselfies”.
What are we trying to accomplish?
We are taking advantage of the power of Giving Tuesday to promote donating to the Share Your Love – 2021-2022 Annual Fund. Our goal is to inspire Grace School families (who have yet to give) to donate to Annual Fund and post their #unselfie to inspire others to give. The #Unselfie movement is designed to get people to reflect and remember just how easy it is to help others too – as we turn our “selfies” into “unselfies”!
What is an #Unselfie?
A “selfie” is a picture or status update someone posts of themselves. We aim to bring more meaning to selfies by accompanying them with an act of good will that benefits others. An “unselfie” is simply a selfie that someone posts sharing that they have done something good.
Think of it this way:
Someone posts a picture using our #unselfie template sharing their “why” for supporting the Grace School Annual Fund in honor of Giving Tuesday.
How to post your #Unselfie
- Donate to the Grace School Annual Fund on Giving Tuesday – November 30
- Complete your #unselfie card
- Take a picture of yourself (a “selfie”) holding your #unselfie card
- Upload your picture to your favorite social media channel
