Requirements:
- At least 67 minutes per week.
- Selected materials must be on or above grade level.
- All genres and formats are acceptable!
- See below for information on the reading challenge and earning prize points!
Vocabulary
300 ISEE Words To Know List
- Memorize: the word, its part of speech, its definition
- Use the word as many times as you can in conversation or writing.
- Points will be added to your prize bank if you find and highlight the words in your reading. Pics or it didn’t happen!
- Try to return to school with at least 40 words
Reading Challenge

Here’s how it works:
Step 1:
Select a challenge and book to help you fulfill it.
Step 2:
Read the book.
Step 3:
Complete DOG EARS for the book, and be prepared to submit these the first day of school.
Challenges to Choose From:
- A book based entirely on its cover.
- A book that has or will have a TV or Movie adaptation
- A book you can read in one sitting
- A book your mom or dad loves
- A book you started but never finished
- A graphic novel
- A Bible Study or Spiritual Commentary
- A book that won an award
- A non-fiction book about something you’ve always wanted to know more about
- A book chosen by a bookstore clerk.
- A play
- A collection of poems or short stories.
