December 2020

Dear Future Grace School Gators,

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This time of year is full of wonderful traditions including time with family, holiday meals, Christmas lights, baking treats, and so much more. As we enter the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season, it is important to take time to remember the reason why we celebrate.

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.” – Luke 2:11 NIrV

This verse is our students memory verse for December. Every month we have a new memory verse, bottom line, and life application (app) that our students discuss during weekly chapel and in their Christian Studies class. What is a life app? It is what God can do in you to change the world around you. Our students do more than just memorizing scripture. We encourage them to engage in deep conversations about biblical principles and how it’s applies to their lives.

This month, our students helped collect and wrap new toys for Lilly’s Toy Box. Lilly’s Toy Box is a non-profit organization (started by one of our Grace School students when she was eight) devoted to providing new toys, books and other gifts to children going through a difficult time. To date, Lilly has given away more than 8,000 toys to families impacted by hurricanes, fires, and many other economic challenges.

At Grace School, we have a host of time-honor Christmas traditions. Santa always comes for a visit and photo session. Doors are decorated by teachers and students, it can be quite an intense competition. Polar Express day where students wear pajamas and have hot cocoa and treats while watching the movie. Freezing cold letters from Santa are delivered – because they arrived directly from the North Pole! And many other Christmas time activities that help bring the magic of the holiday season to our students. Please take a moment to view some of the photos below.

Parent Testimonial

“Having done  A LOT of research on private schools in our area, Grace School was recommended by a few friends/acquaintances. This school is a hidden gem!! My children have been in the public school system for the last few years, and I was concerned about their transition into a smaller private school. They are thriving! Grace is a warm, nurturing environment. They have instilled in my children the same core values that we uphold at home: kindness, respect, responsibility… And they teach these values in a very loving way, within a Christian framework.

As a side note, my children have also commented that they have not seen any real bullying, which is a stark contrast to what they witnessed in their prior school. They take pride in being “Grace Kids.” Glad to be a part of this awesome school community.” – Current Middle School Parent
